St. George

We went to St. George this past weekend. We had a great time. It was so so warm and it helped me get rid of my winter blues! Blake had a good time too, we went to Robs softball games and it was so warm so she could just be out in the sun and actually feel what it was like-she hasn't been outside at all pretty much since she was born. She loved it and she was so good. The drive down was terrific. It only took us 4 1/2 hours to get there, that included a 1/2 hour break to feed the monkey, Im know realizing that Rob may have been going a little fast.
So i thought we would be fine on the way home.... Well thats what i get for thinking. It took us 6 1/2 hours to get home and these are just a few of the highlights...
  • Because of my awesome bladder I had to pee in Cedar City
  • Blowout in Beaver (Blakeley not Rob) It was bad, it got in her car seat, on me, and Rob.
  • Feeding in Fillmore, this was actually our only planned stop.
  • Stoped in Santaquin because of -Blood Curling Screams-comming from the back seat
  • Cried from Draper to Bountiful (Blakeley... and I might have too)
  • She finally fell asleep after 3 rounds of "The ants go marching" and any other songs we could sing that seemed to make her stop crying.

What did I ever have to complain about in the car when we didn't have a child? Im not sure, but I do know I did. Anyway we didn't let it ruin our trip because we really did have a fabulous time. I just thought this story was too good not to share.

Karah, I am so sorry. There is nothing more sad than a screaming baby in the back seat and you can't do anything about it. But at least you got to enjoy the warmth and sunshine!!! Miss you!
