Blake had the best time being outside playing with daddy, grannie and grampy it was so fun to get out of the house on a nice day! We didn't stick around long enough to get a pic with Kade after the game though, darn-it.

A week of fun in Mexico!!!

We had the most amazing time last week in Cancun. Rob and I have not been able to travel many places together and so we were SO grateful for the chance to go to Mexico. Rob's work gives away a trip every year. Rob worked so hard all year to achieve his goal and win the trip and I am so proud of him for doing that and obviously very grateful that I got to come along. Even better Dave won the trip too, so we got to go with Dave and Heidi!!
We relaxed and ate all week, we played by the pool and on the beach. We were mostly just beach bums. It was fabulous. We really got treated like kings, the hotel was all inclusive and so they would bring us around drinks, fruit cabobs, and cold towel for your face while we were by the pool. The cabanas by the pool were perfect for relaxing, reading, taking a nap and sipping on a yummy pina colada. They treated us so good and we ate so good too. I have never eaten so much food in all of my life.
We went shopping into town one day and saw some neat things and some other things I hope I never have to see again :). Rob speaks spanish so that was good, he had a lot of oportunities to speak it and it proved to be VERY helpful at times.
Blakeley was lucky enough to get to be pampered by her grandmas while we were gone. It was really hard to leave her but we made the best of our trip and knew she was being loved at home with her grannies. The hardest days were the day we left her and the day we were comming home. She seemed to be grateful we were back home even though we woke her up straight out of bed so we could see her!
The whole trip just seemed sureal and we tried to enjoy every moment of it. It was an awesome opportunity and Im just so grateful for Rob for working so hard to get us there!! It was also nice to get a good nights sleep for the first time in 6 months :)!

6 Months Old!!!

Rolling everywhere!

I sit up so good!

Can you believe it??? Blake turned 6 months old on Tuesday. These first 6 months have flown by, I don't even want to think that in another 6 she will be a year old. She is as cute as ever. She is rolling over both ways which so far equals bruises. Seriously though she is doing really good, she is sitting up and rolling and trying to push up onto her hands and knees but ends up putting her bum in the air and her face into the carpet instead, it is funny. She had her dr's appt today and she is doing well. She weighs 17.6, is 26 inches long and has a head that is in the 90% :). She is actually kind of thinning out. I realize she is still a big chunck but she hasn't gained like she did before, she is just mobile now so she can't just sit around and get chunkier!! It is funny though, I will sit her up with toys to play with and I will come back into the room a few minutes later and she is in a completley different position, sometimes on the other side of the room. She has also started babbling a lot more since she got her tubes in, and after one naughty night we got her not only sleeping through the night but sleeping through the night in her crib, yeah!! I finally gave in a put her in there and now I am so glad that I did! She is so much fun and we just reallly love the heck out of her, we can't get enough of her sweet little smile and fun personality.

Tubes for Boo

Playing in my cute gown

She fell fast asleep before she went in

All snuggled down, it's all over!

Today our sweet little Blake had to get tubes placed in her ears. We have had a pretty rough past month or so. Blake has either had an ear infection or fluid on her ears constantly since her 4 month appointment. She stopped sleeping through the night shortly after that and we have had some "fun"nights ever since. So all this resulted in our decision to have the tubes placed. The anticipation of the procedure was much much worse than the actual thing. I have been really struggling with the idea of handing my child over to perfect strangers so she can have surgery. I know Im not the only one who has ever done this but it was a still big deal to me. We got there a little after 6 this morning and Blake was so happy, she had no idea what we were up to, she was cooing and laughing in the waiting room. (Just a quick side note, people are so intelligent- I realize my daughter has a boyish name that is no suprise but how can you look at a baby in purple and pink pj's with a pink blankie and a heart binkie in here mouth and call her a boy. Every single worker called her "Brian" or "Him" first, Rob and I probably said "this is a little girl" 10 times this morning. Its funny, I feel bad, she needs hair, and I guess a bow even when she is getting surgery:) Anyway we filled out a bunch of paperwork and they did some vitals on her and we put her in this cute little gown and then we just waited for the doctor to arrive. Thank heavens my sweet baby ended up falling asleep before the nurse came to take her into the OR so that helped because she didn't even know, the nurse just took her from me and away she went. 15 min later Dr Bikhazi was out in the waiting room telling us she did great! 5 minutes after that Blakeley was back in her parents arms! She was quite upset for that first 30 min or so and a bit fussy this morning, but since then she has been pretty happy! We will see where this leads us, at least now we know we have fixed that problem, the fun part is getting her back to the good sleeper she once was, stay tuned for that :)...

Blakes First Cereal!

Today was a fun day, we gave Boo her first juice and rice cereal. It was the dang cutest thing ever. I bought her this cute little sippy cup that is like her bottles and she grabbed ahold of it and went right to town on her little white grape juice. Then when Rob got home from work we tried the rice cereal it was so cute. She was covered in it, but we think she got some down. She liked it she didn't pull any strange faces and she knew right what to do-what a smart little punky huh! I hope this helps her big tummy stay full. It seems like she is getting hungry lately so the Doc said give the cereal a try! Anywho it was sooo cute. This parenting stuff is a blast, every stage is bitter-sweet. I want my little Boo to be little forever but at the same time its so fun to watch her learn and explore new things.

PS- Im still working on getting Blake an actual high chair/booster seat so she wont have to use the Bumbo forever. Not really the safest seat on top of the table :)
