The Best Babysitters Ever!
Macquire and Kale came to play with Blake for a few hours on Friday. They were angels, as usual, and they were so cute with Blakeley too. It was the easiest baby sitting I have ever done, it was like they were watching Blake for me because they entertained her the entire time. Then when she went down for a nap they just wanted to watch a movie with me! These kids are so sweet to each other and to my Blake. We took some silly pictures while they were here...

My Smart Little Monster!
I can't take credit for this Blakeley taught herself! She loves this little shape toy that Gambel gave her. She will always bring it to me to open it and then I will show her where the shapes go. Well, a few weeks ago she brought it to me, so I opened it up for her, then she picked out the red circle and red oval to put in and started looking for where they went on her own, so i just watched...and sure enough she found the right shape, matched it up, and put them in! Where does she get this? She amazes me all the time I just think she is such a smartie, I'm a proud Mommy!
Blakeley's Re-Test

You may remember 6 months ago after Blake was in the hospital she had to go down to Primary Children's and have a VCUG and a Renal Ultrasound. The results 6mo ago of the Renal Ultrasound came back abnormal so she has been taking a low dose antibiotic for the last six months to prevent her from getting another bladder infection. So last Thursday it was finally time to repeat the test. So we loaded her up for the drive down. I was pretty nervous about what we may have to do if the problem was still there. I was anxious on the drive and we got behind in traffic and were running late so I was getting even more upset. We finally got there and they called her back for the ultrasound. Blakeley was not happy about what we were doing. It doesn't hurt to have one done, as all of you know who have been pregnant, but she was upset about it still. So I had to lay on the bed with her while she did it and in 5 min or so it was all over! The Radiologist came into read the results and we were so grateful to hear that her body had fixed itself and the ultrasound was normal this time. What a blessing this was for the problem to be corrected, we are so grateful! After we were done we walked around the first floor and saw all of the fun stuff they have there at Primary's. It is so hard to go to that hospital and see all the sick kids, it brings back memories of having Kade there too. I'm really glad that we have Primary Children's so close to help those who need it, but I don't love having to take my daughter there!
Then Jen and Andy had invited us to go with them to the Clearfield Aquatic Center that night so we thought that would be a great reward for Blakers having to have her test done. It was so fun, Blakeley loved it of course, she was a little fish. She went down the slides and she even went under the water a few times and she didn't even mind! It was a lot of fun here are some pics...

3 Moms take on St. George with 3 Kids!
My sweet cousin Jena invited Blakeley and I on a fun getaway to St. George for the week and we agreed of course! It was such a fun time and a pretty hilarious experience at times! I was a nervous wreck about the 5 hour trip with 3 toddlers. Especially when one of them is my Blakeley(do any of you remember my post about our trip to St. George last year? if not look it up it was a treat!) Any who I prepared Jena and Heidi that my child doesn't always cooperate on road trips and told them-consider yourself warned! Well as it turns out Blakeley and Lily got one look at each other in the car and just thought it was so fun to have a buddy! They were seriously amazing her is a pic of the two little angels in their seats....

And here they are after we turned on that wonder of a DVD player! This thing saved our lives and I mean it! We unveiled this beauty with 2 hours left in the trip. Put in an Elmo DVD and that was all she wrote these two didn't make a peep or even glance in our direction until we were at the condo! I will never go to St. George without it!
After the stress of the drive was out of the way we were ready to play, play, play! We had so much fun. We took the kids for a bike ride to the park. Look at them all crammed in the bike trailer, isn't this pic darling!

Blakeley, Hudson, LilyJena was the poor soul who offered to ride the bike attached to the trailer. We figured she was pulling close to 70lbs with 3 kids behind her. It maybe wouldnt have been so bad but the whole ride back to the condo was up hill. She is a trooper.
Blake had such a fun time at the park she loved the slide and even figured out how to walk up it to the top by holding onto the side. Silly girl!
Three cuties!
We put the 3 of them in the big tub, it was so cute to watch them. Hudson is defiantly a boy. He was splashing around like crazy and kept going under the water and he would just get right up like nothing had happened at all. Blakeley and Lily were a bit more cautious!
Blakeley is so happy cause she is playing with Lils bath baby!
Blake reading Hud a bedtime story! Here is sweet little Lily Cakes!
We went swimming at the Sun Hollow Aquatic Center and it was so fun. We were the only ones there on a Thursday afternoon so we took full advantage. We took the kids down the big slide through the sprayers and let them wear themselves right out! There was a kids slide that they all loved too. They are all sitting in it in the picture below!
After the swim we thought it would be fun to get a cute nakey picture of them, needless to say Hudsons package is front and center and slightly pornographic in most of them. But I thought this one was so cute, Lils had put her arm around Hud just as I snapped it. Blake is reaching for the raisins on the towel, apparently swimming made her hungry.
I thought this picture was funny because the light caught Boo's earring just right. She's bling-blingin!

Restaurants were a sight with 3 adults and 3 kids, people practically changed their plans and left the restaurant when they saw us coming not to mention the poor waiters! Oh well, we will chalk it up to memories. We had so much fun the week flew by and before we knew it we had to get back to real life! We had such a fun time and it was so good for Blake to spend some quality time with her cousins! Thanks again Jena!

Blakeley Stole My Valentine!
My Valentine for the last 7 years has been stolen by my own offspring. Rob got Blakeley such cute Valentines gifts, all on his own. Blake and I were out of town last week to St George and came home on Friday night. Saturday morning we woke up to some sweet Valentines from Rob. He gave Blakeley a cute Elmo card, a Valentine bear and a cute little Valentine monster and I had bought her the "Brown Bear" book because she loves "Polar Bear" book so much.
Blakeley checking out her prizes

When you push a button on the card it says "Elmo Loves You" so Blakeley is laughing at it
I didn't get left out though Rob had wrote a sweet note on a card for me with my favorite treat Mini Eggs and some "Robby Coupons." We don't usually give V-day gifts we just like to spend our money on a date night and my sweet parents always offer to watch Blakeley so we can. We went to see "He's just not that into you" and then we had a delightful dinner at Maddox. It was so much fun. For those of you who don't know Valentines day is a bit of an anniversary for Rob and I. It is was our first date, sort of. We went to Maddox to eat with Jake and Ashlee they set us up, and their friend Stanger's date (uh hum...kayli) couldn't make it so I had 2 dates Rob and Stang. It was awkward for sure but we made the best of it. After Maddox we went back to Jakes to hang out. I ended up driving Rob home that night (I'm sure that was planned) anyway we sat and talked in my car till like 2 or 3 in the morning. Kind of a funny beginning but we think it was great because we have been inseparable ever since! It is just crazy to think of how fast 7 years can fly by!
Here is my cute Valentine!
I said in my title that Blakeley stole him because she totally did. At dinner he couldn't wait to get home and get Blake before she went to bed. I told him whats the deal, have I been replaced? He just loves her so much and I'm so grateful that he is such a great Daddy to her!

More of that cute little Josslyn
Sweet Jossy @ 1 wk old
Blakeley and Josslyn Reunited!
Blakeley and I got to go up and spend time with sweet little Josslyn on Thursday. It was so fun to visit with Mindy and snuggle a little newborn again. Jossy is such a sweetie and she just gets cuter everyday. I think she is looking a lot like her daddy. Blakeley did pretty good with her, she was soft with her and said "baby" to her. She did get a little annoyed with me after I had snuggled Jossy for like a half hour she let me know she was done sharing her mommy. We are just so excited to have a Costley cousin it is time for Blakeley to see that it isn't all about her :)

Grannie makes the cut!
Grannie Sheryl gave Blake her first haircut and Blakeley was in heaven. She has always watched her Grannie do other peoples hair and it was finally her turn. (I think the sucker helped too.) She sat so good and just turned around to smile and laugh at Grannie every so often. Blake's hair was turning into a pretty nasty mullet/rat tail look so we decided at this point a small trim could only help.

In 2009...
I made the mistake of saying this was going to be our theme for the year "In 2009, We wont have a dime!" I said it only half joking. My mom and I had been talking about all of the things we had spent money on in 2008, we finished our basement and my poor parents had to replace every appliance in their house except their fridge and the trusty old Intrepid died. (So they win!) So my mom said "We had everything break in 2008" and i said so "we wont have a dime in 2009." Well there is some truth and I'm sure some of you can relate with a kick "A" economy :( and so many jobs being lost, I feel like it might just come true. But I have already decided I need to take it back cause its bringing bad luck. Let me explain...
My poor little boo had a bad cough that just wouldn't go away we got a nebulizer and that helped her for a bit but as soon as we stopped it that nasty little cough returned. So my Doc thought she might have asthma, I fought him on it a little bit but eventually realized I wasn't the one with MD after my name. So he prescribed an inhaler and an "aerochamber" for my girl."
The aerochamber looks just like this. So I go to the pharmacy to pick up these two items and the sweet lady behind the counter informs me that my total is $123. I said huh? She says the inhaler has a $60 copay and your insurance doesn't cover the aerochamber. Awesome I say. How did they expect me to get the medicine into my kid without it! When is the last time you saw a 15mo old put and inhaler in her mouth and breath in the medication. The lady laughed a agreed with me. My next response was how do you say no to something the doc says will help your babe. So i pay the lady and as I'm leaving the pharmacy I hear my theme echo in my mind"In 2009, we wont have a dime!"
Needless to say the inhaler did help my sweet Blakeley very much and her cough was better in no time so it was worth the $$. Now we have it if we need it in the future. (as a side note if this happens to you, please just call me and borrow mine instead of buying one yourself :))

Moving to last Monday I am headed to work for my weekly day of fun. Im wishing on the way that I worked at a bank or school so that Martin Luther King Jr day meant something. Anyhow I get to the parking lot and Im collecting my purse, coat, phone, etc. to head into work. And i do something stupid-surprise. I lock my car using the keyless entry. Place my keys inside my purse. Get out of my car placing my purse on my seat. Put on my coat and close the door to my car! Oh Karah you are something special. I have now locked everything buy myself and my coat in my car! My stomach drops because here is the kicker-we don't own a spare. Before you judge me for not having a spare let me explain (if your still reading that is.) I have tried to have a spare made 2 times and have been talked out of it or told to go to the Nissan dealer to do it. Well I was 2 cheap to go to the dealer and pay $100 bucks for one and the guy at Lowes told me a spare wouldn't work in my car because the key had a microchip in it or some crap.. and whatever I have just never done it okay so give me a break i feel bad enough. Also the only way you can lock my keys in my car is this way. If they are in the ignition it wont let you lock it-so I'm really awesome! Anyway so I try hospital security and south ogden police no one can help me so I call around for the cheapest locksmith I can find. Vic's it was called and Rich is the man they sent to help me. I was slightly scared for my life cause this guy was spooky he had googly eyes and a rapist van so thank heavens I wasn't alone when he came. Despite all of this he was a nice guy and got me into my car which is what matters. But of course my Theme came into my mind as I handed him the $$.
So the moral of my story is that I am officially declaring that this is no longer my theme. I think it is bringing bad luck! So I'm putting out the good vibe maybe I will just go with "Everything will be fine in 2009!" Honestly though I just feel like the economy is so unstable anyway why would I want to add any negativity to it. My cute mom said the other day "it is sad that I have been counting appliances I have replaced this year instead of blessings!" She is right, I don't want to doom myself with my theme so we are gonna be positive and look at the positive too. So if your feeling like you don't have a dime try to focus on the positive. Your family, friends, and health. Thanks for letting me rant!
