Blakeley's Re-Test

You may remember 6 months ago after Blake was in the hospital she had to go down to Primary Children's and have a VCUG and a Renal Ultrasound. The results 6mo ago of the Renal Ultrasound came back abnormal so she has been taking a low dose antibiotic for the last six months to prevent her from getting another bladder infection. So last Thursday it was finally time to repeat the test. So we loaded her up for the drive down. I was pretty nervous about what we may have to do if the problem was still there. I was anxious on the drive and we got behind in traffic and were running late so I was getting even more upset. We finally got there and they called her back for the ultrasound. Blakeley was not happy about what we were doing. It doesn't hurt to have one done, as all of you know who have been pregnant, but she was upset about it still. So I had to lay on the bed with her while she did it and in 5 min or so it was all over! The Radiologist came into read the results and we were so grateful to hear that her body had fixed itself and the ultrasound was normal this time. What a blessing this was for the problem to be corrected, we are so grateful! After we were done we walked around the first floor and saw all of the fun stuff they have there at Primary's. It is so hard to go to that hospital and see all the sick kids, it brings back memories of having Kade there too. I'm really glad that we have Primary Children's so close to help those who need it, but I don't love having to take my daughter there!

Then Jen and Andy had invited us to go with them to the Clearfield Aquatic Center that night so we thought that would be a great reward for Blakers having to have her test done. It was so fun, Blakeley loved it of course, she was a little fish. She went down the slides and she even went under the water a few times and she didn't even mind! It was a lot of fun here are some pics...

I didn't know that Blakely had problems like that! Gabe was born with kidney problems so we've been down there a lot in the last year for surgery, ultrasounds, renal scans and follow ups as well. Not fun but I'm glad hers fixed itself and she didn't have to do the surgery thing.
